HERNDON - The sixth annual Eagles 7v7 Soccer Tournament is scheduled for Saturday, June 28, at Line Mountain Jr./Sr. High School. The event plays host to boys and girls high school and middle school teams as well as AYSO U12 and U10 teams from across the Susquehanna Valley. The tournament is sponsored by the Line Mountain Soccer Boosters as well as many local businesses. The Line Mountain Soccer Boosters will welcome 450 athletes divided into 40 teams representing 20 school districts. The tournament is a 7v7 format and will crown champions in seven divisions.
Some of the participating school districts are Berwick, East Juniata, East Pennsboro, Greenwood, Line Mountain, Mifflinburg, Millersburg, Milton, Northumberland Christian, Pine Grove, Schuylkill Haven, Shamokin, Shikellamy, Upper Dauphin and Weatherly.
Some of the planned activities include sports vendors and our annual juggling contest. The Eagles 7v7 Soccer is also partnering with the Ronald McDonald House in Danville to sponsor a Tab-A-Thon the day of the event. Bring your soda tabs the day of the event and help us help those in need. The team with the most soda tabs wins a gift certificate to a local vendor. Soda tab donations from the community will also be welcome. No donation is too small. Additionally, there will be plenty of good food and sports entertainment.
Games start at 9:00 a.m. and will run throughout the day.
