COAL TOWNSHIP - Logan Steele, a kindergarten student at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional School, recently won the first competition of the year in the Mountain Dew ATV MX National Championship Series at Aonia Pass MX Park in Washington, Ga.
He raced in the 50 Semi Stock class and won both motocross events to finish first overall, taking the early lead in the points race toward a national championship. He will compete in eight additional races around the country, in Tennessee, Pennsylvania, Illinois, Ohio, Minnesota, New York and Michigan. The next competition will be this weekend at Muddy Creek Raceway, Blountville, Tenn.
Logan, 6, is a son of Heather and Rick Steele, and has been racing since he turned four. His brother, Landen, 4, is beginning to race competitively.
Logan rides a DRR 50 and is currently sponsored by the Natalie Experience, Breezewood Proving Grounds, FTR Powersports, Motowoz Shocks, Fly Racing and Motosport.com.
He is coached by two-time national champion John Natalie, who started his ATV racing career almost 20 years ago and has won numerous races and championships in different categories during that time, including the
ATVA MX Nationals, Pro Quad Stadium Series, ATV Winter Olympics, 12 Hours of ATV America, Great Outdoor Games, and the Dirt Riot.
