Hodnett wins at Lincoln

Greg Hodnett of Thomasville took the lead from Logan Schuchart in lapped traffic on lap 10 and went on to win the sprint car feature at Lincoln Speedway on Saturday night.

Hodnett's first Lincoln win of the season earned him $3,200. Hodnett, who drives a sprinter owned by John Trone, has seven wins on the season and is within 26 points of the overall Central Pennsylvania sprint car championship with five races remaining.

Danny Dietrich finished second ahead of Chad Layton, Schuchart and Mark Smith.

Pat Cannon of Etters started on the pole and led all 20 laps of the 358 sprint feature. It was his first Lincoln win of the season and 10th overall.

Kyle Martin won the thundercar feature and Sam Gallagher secured the track championship with a third place effort.

Selinsgrove Speedway will host its third annual racecar flea market on Oct. 29 beginning at 7 a.m. The speedway's annual awards banquet is Saturday, Nov. 12, at the Sheraton Harrisburg Hershey Hotel.

The racing program at Williams Grove Speedway was once again rained out. The Grove has suffered 12 rainouts this season.

The Grove's season concludes on Saturday with its annual Fall Fest features-only program. The 358 sprints will have two features thanks to a makeup from Sept. 4 that must be run. The sprint cars, super sportsman and 358 late models will also run features.

Lincoln Speedway's season concludes with its rescheduled 59th anniversary show on Friday night featuring twin 20 lap features for the sprint cars.

Grandview Speedway's season concluded with its features only program on Saturday night. Ed Aiken won $4,050 in the finale for the United Racing Company 360 sprint cars. Robbie Stillwaggon and Dave Ely followed Aiken.

Curt Michael finished ninth and wrapped up his eighth career URC championship in a sprinter owned by Bill Gallagher.

Nick Wean beat Ryan Smith to win the ARDC midget feature while Chad Glatfelter beat Scott Houdeshell to win the legends feature.

Craig Whitmoyer beat Paul Kline to win the sportsman modified feature and Duane Howard beat Jeff Strunk in the 358 modified main event.
