Six earn PHAC all-star honors

Three members of Mount Carmel Area's district champion boys cross country team head a list of six area athletes who have been named to first team slots on the Pennsylvania Heartland Athletic Conference all-star teams.

Nate Bartos, Tommy Moser and Ciaran Fisher all earned Division III boys first team slots, as did Southern Columbia's Colin Dudanowicz. Earning first team spots on the Division III girls team were Mount Carmel's Chantelle Skavery and Southern Columbia's Emily Eck.

Mount Carmel's David Fletcher and Southern Columbia's Connor Houseknecht earned second team slots, as did Southern Columbia's Victoria Ring and Samantha Romania.

Shamokin Area runners Christina Troutman and Chris Petraskie were second team picks in Division I.

Mount Carmel coach Ben McConnell was named Co-Coach of the Year in Division III boys along with Warrior Run's Corey Dufrene.
