SELINSGROVE - Tim McCreadie, of Watertown, N.Y., made a late-race pass of Shane Clanton to win the Showdown on Sand Hill Saturday night at Selinsgrove Speedway in an event sanctioned by the World of Outlaw Late Model Series.
McCreadie's first career Selinsgrove win was worth $8,000. It was his third win of the season with the series.
Clanton led the first 35 laps of the 40-lap main event before McCreadie, who started sixth, drove by and into the lead. His final margin of victory was two seconds.
York's Rick Eckert finished third followed by Outlaws point leader Darrell Lanigan, who started 23rd, and local racer Dylan Yoder of Selinsgrove.
Williamsport's Matt Cochran, Danville's Jeff Rine, Morgan Bagley, Eric Walls and Dan Stone completed the top 10.
Lanigan set fast time over the 41-car field with a lap of 19.111.
Andrew Shoop of Mifflintown wired the field for his first career win at Selinsgrove in the 20-lap pro stock feature.
Lucas Wolfe led all 30 laps to win $6,000 in the Jack Gunn Memorial for super sprint cars Friday night at Williams Grove Speedway. Lance Dewease settled for second with Stevie Smith, Donnie Kreitz and Greg Hodnett completing the top five.
Justin Barger led all 25 laps to win his first career sprint car feature at Port Royal Speedway. Hodnett was under Barger for the lead in lapped traffic on lap 14, but a caution flag flew negating the pass. From there, it was all Barger as Hodnett settled for his fourth runner-up this season. Rick Lafferty, Nate Snyder and Chad Layton were in the top five.
Justin Kann used a daring move in lapped traffic to get the lead from Jeff Miller Sr. during the Butch Renninger Memorial for late models at Port Royal. Once in front, Kann dominated the race winning nearly $4,000. Miller would later spin out of second. Andy Haus, Mike Lupfer, Tim Smith Jr. and Brett Schadel were in the top five.
Port Royal hosts its annual Labor Day Classic featuring the sprint cars this afternoon starting at 1.
Brian Montieth scored his third feature win of the season Saturday night at the Lincoln Speedway. Steve Owings, Ryan Wilson, Cory Haas and newly crowned track champion Alan Krimes followed Montieth.
