Southern Columbia wrestler Kent Lane went 10-0 for the Middle Atlantic Wrestling Association (MAWA) Blue Team wrestling in the All-Star Division at the AAU Scholastic Duals at the ESPN Wide World Of Sports Complex in Orlando, Fla.
Lane, competing with other Division I wrestling recruits for the Middle Atlantic, won 10 consecutive matches including four by fall against teams assembled from around the country.
Lane is currently ranked seventh in the country at 132 pounds in the Flo Wrestling National High School Rankings. PA Power Wrestling recently released its list of the top 300 recruits in the state and Lane is listed at #11.
Lane, a 2014 PIAA state runnerup at 138 pounds, will be a senior in the upcoming 2014-2015 school year. Lane, along with his brother Jaret, will head to Fargo, N.D. in mid-July to compete in the USA Wrestling Asics/Vaughan Cadet & Junior National Tournament. Both will be looking to win individual national titles in Greco-Roman and freestyle wrestling. Jaret Lane won the PAWF state championship in Greco and freestyle this past June.
Todd Lane, a 2014 PIAA state runnerup at 120 pounds, also competed in Orlando with the Middle Atlantic Blue Team at and finished the event with a 3-0 record.
Todd is currently ranked ninth in the country in the National High School Rankings. He will be a sophomore at Southern Columbia this year.
