CATAWISSA RR - Blair Johnston blasted a three-run home run and Taylor Hoffman drove in two runs with a home run and two singles, leading Southern Columbia past Central Columbia 10-9 in Heartland Conference softball action Tuesday.
The Tigers trailed 6-0 after two innings and 7-0 two innings later before battling back with five runs in the bottom of the fourth. They added two in the fifth and three in the sixth to earn the victory.
Winning pitcher Abbey Herr struck otu three and issued four walks.
Southern (3-0) travels to Warrior Run on Thursday.

CATAWISSA RR - Ken Fegley fired a one-hitter, striking out seven and not issuing a walk as the Tigers scored the Heartland III victory over Benton.
