SOUTH WILLIAMSPORT - Mallory Tomaschik hit a two-run homer in the top of the seventh inning to give Southern Columbia some payback for its opening-game loss to South Williamsport with a 4-3 comeback win over the Mounties in Heartland Athletic Conference softball Thursday.
The heroics for Tomaschik, also the winning pitcher, were set up Haley Levan's two-run triple in the sixth inning after South had taken a 3-0 lead.
Southern (6-4) blew a 9-1 lead in its opening game 14-10 loss against South, which dropped to 3-3.
