Mahanoy Area Biddy Basketball
Annual tournaments, April 19-21 for 3rd-4th grade girls, 5th-6th grade girls and 7th-8th grade boys. Cost is $125 for 3rd-4th grade teams, and $150 for 5th-6th and 7th-8th grade teams. Contact Robert McGee at 294-2944 for information or to register teams.
Special Olympic Swim Practice

Cabrini Baseball

Little League Registration
Any child, ages 4-12, residing in Shamokin Area or Mount Carmel Area school districts may still register to play Little League Baseball. Registration for players and coaches is during normal business hours at the Miller Donmoyer Family Health Center, 255 W. Spruce St., Shamokin. All parents must be represented by a parent or legal guardian, and any player new to the league must bring the child's original or state certified birth certificate. Fee is $40 for the first child and $20 for each additional child in the same family.
Shamokin-Mount Carmel Challenger Little League Baseball
Registration, any child between the ages of 4 and 21 residing in the Shamokin Area or Mount Carmel Area School Districts or surrounding areas may still register to play Challenger Little League Baseball. Registration for players is during normal business hours at the Miller Donmoyer Family Health Center, 255 W. Spruce St., Shamokin. All players must be represented by a parent or legal guardian, and any player new to the league must bring an original or state-certified birth certificate. The fee is $25 for the first child and $15 for each additional child in the same family.
Derek Crowl Memorial Tournament
This year's tournament, the fifth, will be held April 13 and 14 at the Ralpho Township gym. There are 14 slots remaining with a maximum of 10 players allowed on each team. Cost is $10 per player up to seven players, after that the fee per team is a flat $75. There will be door prizes and the top two teams will receive a monetary prize. Alumni Football USA
AF-USA is organizing a full-contact alumni football game between Shamokin and Mount Carmel for late June or Mid-July. The game is open to all alumni 18 years and older. Each team needs 30-plus players to get on the schedule. A $75 player fee applies. Alumni Football USA provides the gear. Lower Anthracite Teener League Baseball
Meeting, Thursday April 11 at 7:30 p.m. at the Kulpmont K of C (across from Turkey Hill). YMCA Golf Tournament
The Greater Susquehanna Valley YMCA is hosting the 22nd annual Truman H. Purdy Memorial Golf Tournament, Wednesday, May 8 at the Susquehanna Valley Country Club. There are morning and afternoon flights available, as well as several sponsorship opportunities. Prizes available include tickets to the AT&T National at Congressional Country Club, round of golf for four at Eagles Mere and a set of irons for the closest to the pin prize.
