Raiders defeat Mahanoy

MAHANOY CITY - Rachel Schultz lit up the scoreboard for 30 points and Lourdes Regional defeated Mahanoy Area 65-35 in a Schuylkill League Division II-III crossover game Friday night.

Schultz, a junior guard, scored 14 of her points in the first quarter and added eight more in the second as Lourdes built a 37-23 halftime lead. Nikki Komara added 13 points for the Red Raiders, who pulled away with a 17-5 third quarter.

Katie Babinsky paced Mahanoy Area with 14 points.

HUGHESVILLE - The combination of Zach Tocyloski and Ben Scicchitano helped Mount Car-

mel push Hughesville to overtime before losing the Heartland Conference Division II matchup on the road Friday.

Tocyloski and Scicchitano each scored 12 points to lead the Tornadoes.
