Lady Bombers Girls Softball League
The SCT Lady Bombers Softball League, formerly the Shamokin/Coal Township Girls Youth Softball League, will hold registration Jan. 5, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Shamokin Public Library. All girls ages 4-14 are invited to play. Girls from Mount Carmel and Kulpmont are eligible as well. New players must provide a copy of their birth certificate and a form of ID for their parent. Registration fee is $25 for U8, U10 and U12, and $35 for U14. Cost includes uniform and insurance fee. For information, contact Dan at 850-0956 or Christin at 850-1208.
Lourdes Homecoming Weekend
Our Lady of Lourdes Regional School will hold its homecoming weekend to welcome back alumni on Friday, Jan. 18, and Saturday, Jan. 19. The weekend will kick off with the junior varsity and varsity boys' basketball games against Natvity at 6 and 7:15 p.m., respectively. Jan. 18. The homecoming queen will be crowned during halftime of the varsity game. An alumni boys' basketball game will be played at noon Jan. 19, followed by the alumni girls' basketball game. At 6 p.m., Jan. 19, an alumni social will be held at 6 p.m. at Brady Fire Company Banquet Hall. Cost for the banquet is $20 per person or $30 per couple and includes food, drinks and an alumni T-shirt. For more information, email ololalumni@yahoo.com.
Ralpho Baseball, Softball Registration
Ralpho Youth Sports baseball and softball sign-ups Sunday, Jan. 6, from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. at the Elysburg Fire Company. Fee is $25 and a copy of child's birth certificate is needed.
Cabrini Junior League Baseball
Registration for all new and returning players from four to 12 will be held on Saturday, Jan. 26 from noon to 3 p.m. at Robs Goodtime Grille on Market and Spruce streets for the 2013 baseball season. Registration fee is $20 per child. To be eligible to play in our league, children must either attend the Shamokin Area School District or reside in Shamokin, Coal Twp. or Zerbe Twp. All rostered players from last season must attend this registration or notify their manager if they plan on returning this season.
