SHAMOKIN - Shamokin Area soccer goalkeeper Jon Deitrick is one of five Pennsylvania Heartland Athletic Conference players who have been named to the Pennsylvania Soccer Coaches Association all-state team.
Deitrick had 143 saves, five shutouts and an .861 save percentage for the Indians, who had a 10-8-1 record. He gave up 23 goals on the season and kept the Indians competitive in most games. He had 18 saves in the Indians' 2-0 loss to Midd-West in the District Four playoffs.
Other Heartland players on the team include Selinsgrove's David Aurand, Warrior Run's Austin Bower on the boys team, and Warrior Run's Taylor Landis and Danville's Siobhan Bross on the girls team.
