TAMAQUA - Jonathan Green, Austin Hornberger and Derek Reed drove in a run apiece in the top of the seventh inning to spark a 3-run rally that broke a scoreless tie, lifting North Schuylkill past Tamaqua 3-0 in Schuylkill I baseball on Saturday.
Winning pitcher Jake Damiter finished off the shutout in the bottom half of the seventh.
Each team managed only three hits. Green started on the mound for the Spartans, working the first four innings before giving way to Damiter. They combined to strike out five without issuing a walk.

JERSEY SHORE - The Bulldogs scored all their runs in the first three innings, winning the Heartland I matchup and eliminating the Indians (7-11) from the possibility of a District 4 playoff berth.
Helena Supsic had a good day at the plate for Shamokin, belting a double and two singles and driving in a run. Olivia Bonshock added two singles, and Natalie Wolfe contributed a triple.
Steph Pancher worked the first three innings, suffering the loss. Supsic didn't allow a run while pitching the final three frames.
