MANDATA - North Schuylkill's Madison Newhouser got her 100th career hit for the Spartans in a 10-0 five inning win over Line Mountain Friday.
Newhouser's benchmark hit came in the fourth inning, and she finished with two hits for the game. Nadya Spotts and Chase Stokes also had two hits each. Cassie Lapotsky got the win for the Spartans and struck out nine.
Brooke Long, Jenna Wheary and Michelle Menko had Line Mountain's only hits.

VALLEY VIEW - The Bulldogs spotted the Tornadoes (4-14) a 4-0 lead before scoring five in the bottom of the third, then holding on for the non-league victory.
Trevor Johnson belted a solo home run for Mount Carmel in the second. Jayson Stellar knocked in two runs with a double and single.
Johnson struck out three and walked only one but suffered the loss.
